Hi, I'm Rue Hite, and as you can see, I do a little bit of everything. As a result, I have created this blog as a central resting place for "all things Rue." To be honest this blog is for a little bit of everyone; the traveler, the foodie, cosmetics junkies and wine enthusiasts alike. I know, I know, blogs should have a theme or specific focus, but not this blog. I just can't do it, this blog will be "all over the place" much like myself and that's okay, because that means we can just call it a lifestyle blog! Come one, come all.
Because my friends know how my life works, they often reach out to me for recommendations, and I am always happy to share. thevinochronicles.com will be a place where I can send people to get more information on an experience, product or service that I have had.
A LITTLE (MORE) ABOUT ME:
I am a self-proclaimed "sophisticated socialite" who is a lover of all things beautiful and entertaining. This includes beautiful people, experiences, food, and beverages. Pretty much, if there is fun involved, you can count me in!
A very curious soul, I was bit by the exploration bug at the tender age of 18 when I crossed the country, solo, from Southern California to South Carolina to attend college. Little did I know, that bold move would enable me to be the first person in my family to earn a degree and sparked my passion to travel the U.S. and eventually the world! Learning about new cultures, meeting people and trying both the glamourous, and not so glamorous experiences in life, is what I specialize in. I have lived in 5 states and each of these places have had a profound impact on my life. Each were integral to the content and creation of this blog. I am grateful for every experience because it has made me who I am today and allows me to share my experiences with the world and inspires others with different ways to enjoy life!
MEDIA IN LOS ANGELES
I graduated from The University of South Carolina with a bachelor's in Media Arts with a focus in filmmaking and video production. While studying in the field I became enamored with video production and photography, mainly of the documentary genre.
Post graduation I worked in the film industry and owned a freelance photography business while living in southern California. As a result I have affinity for taking pictures everywhere I go and even more annoyingly, of everything I eat. So I have millions of images of interesting locations and delectable food from a plethora of destinations to share.
SELF-CARE IN ATLANTA
After "retiring" from my very short career in the film industry I continued to seek out my niche career which landed me in the cosmetics industry. It was during this time I discovered "the finer things in life"... spas, premium massages, high-end skincare and cosmetics and most importantly the need for self-care. I have had some of the most incredible pampering experiences in the world which I will share here with you in hopes to inspire you to put yourself first and explore this the world of self-care in ways you have never imagined.
TRAVEL IN CHARLOTTE
Currently, I reside in Charlotte, NC. The city, is fun, beautiful, entertaining and filled with some of the most friendly people you will ever meet in your life!
I have lived here on and off since 2007 and have seen this city grow exponentially. This is the city in which I became the ultimate socialite, so much so that I was tempted to start The Socialite Academy, however, I already wear too many hats so I decided against the idea.
One of the other incredible things about Charlotte is that it is a prime location to travel from. Here I can visit an abundance of desirable travel destinations by car, while also having easy access to both domestic and international flights. So, it was here, in sweet North Carolina, that I have combined the delicate and beautiful layers of my life, formal education, career and life experiences into this blog.
